This exciting 3-day safari offers the perfect combination of wildlife viewing, cultural experiences, and breathtaking landscapes. Nyerere National Park, one of Africa’s largest protected areas, is home to a rich variety of animals, including elephants, buffalo, wild dogs, and over 440 bird species.
You’ll experience a full day of game drives, a walking safari, and a relaxing boat safari, all while soaking in the beauty of the African wilderness.

Day 1
Meet and greet your guide at the Mtemere airstrip from the morning flight and continue on with packed lunch for a full day game drive until 18.30 and overnight at Nje Bush Tented Camp, half board (lunch and dinner).
Day 2
Accompanied by an armed ranger, you start the day at 06.30 with a walking safari which will be conducted outside of the park. A walking safari brings you closer to some of the smallest animals and plants that you would not see on a vehicle game drive. The crisp fresh African air mixed with the wild smell of the animal bush evokes your smell sense to the intoxicating unique smell of African bush. Your bushman guide will show you various traditional medicinal plants and bush survival skills. Return to the camp for breakfast. Mid-day tour of the village followed by lunch. Take siesta or learn to play the local board game. At 16:00 walk to the afternoon sunset boat safari until 18.30. On the boat safari, you will see birds, crocodiles, hippos, and some of the most stunning sunsets. Overnight at Nje Bush Tented Camp, full board (lunch and dinner).
Day 3
After breakfast transfer to the airstrip for your flight back.
Nyerere N.P is one of the largest parks in Africa covering 35,000 square kilometres and is known for its massive population of elephants and buffalo, one of the last sustainable populations of the African Wild dog. It also supports a variety of over 2000 variety of plants, hot volcanic springs, Lagoons and over 440 species of birds.
The park is centred on the Rufiji River which meanders through the park from it’s headwaters in the Ruaha Valley to the river delta opposite the Mafia Islands. The Rufiji River and it’s surrounding forests and grasslands are a haven to a wider variety of wildlife that is sustained by this perennial, Majestic River. This World Heritage site can be explored on foot, boat or vehicle
